Treasure Leads of the Week

The Site of Fredericktown, Kentucky was located about six miles northwest of Fort Boonesborough and should not be confused with a present town in Kentucky with this same name.

The earlier Fredericktown was another frontier settlement founded about 1776 that withstood fierce Indian attacks in 1778 and 1779. Settlers abandoned it to search for better farming country. Click here for more stories and how to find out about treasures where you live.
